A380 start in Thailand
Thai Airways is Asias fifth airline and the ninth A380 operator worldwide. The airline began to operate the A380 in October 2012.
Thailands national airline has ordered six A380-841. The first aircraft was handed over on September 27th 2012 in Toulouse. This machine is in service on routes within Asia (to Hong Kong and Singapore). Further aircrafts will operate routes to Europe. First long-haul destination will be Frankfurt. Next destinations are Tokyo and Paris.
On board the A380
Thai Airways operates A380s in a three-service-class configuration with 507 seats. For the first time seats of all three classes will be located on the upper deck - the twelve First Class seats (rows 1-3), the 60 Business Class seats (rows 11-27) and parts of the 435 Economy Class seats. Thai Airways started operating their first A380 in autumn 2012. The first routes connected Bangkok with Hong Kong, Singapore, Frankfurt, Tokyo and Paris. As not all flights between the cities mentioned are operated with an A380, please check here for flight numbers and times.
