New A380 destinations: Kuala Lumpur and Rome
Emirates adds two new cities to the A380 destination list. Starting December 1st the airline will connect Dubai with Kuala Lumpur and Rome. Prior to this Emirates will commence another A380 connection to Johannesburg, starting October 1st.
On September 24th an Emirates A380 will fly to Hamburg for the airport birthday celebrations (Dubai-Hamburg, EK059, 09:00 - 13:40; Hamburg-Dubai, EK060, 15:25 - 23:40).
Korean Air: A380 service starting in June
Korean Air will be the sixth airline worldwide arriving in the A380 century. On May 24th Korean Air received its first A380. The Seoul based airline will immediately start serving two routes with the A380, flying from their hub in Korea’s capital to Tokyo and Hong Kong from June 17th. Next A380 destinations will be Bangkok (July 20st), New York (August 9th), Paris (September 26th) and Los Angeles (October 11th).
Emirates: Munich becomes next A380 destination
Emirates will be the first airline to operate the A380 from Munich. The airline of the United Arab Emirates will be servicing one of their two daily flights between the Bavarian capital and Dubai with an A380, starting January 1st 2012. In addition Emirates is planning to fly another connection from Frankfurt with an A380. Already starting October 1st Emirates A380s are heading for Johannesburg.
