A380: New in San Francisco

The most recent destination on the A380 world map is called San Francisco. Starting May 10th Lufthansa is the first airline to service California’s West Coast with the A380 on a daily basis. Take-off in Frankfurt is at 9:35 am, return flight leaves San Francisco at 2:20 pm the same day. Lufthansa replaces the “Jumbo Jet”, Boeing 747, with a “Super Jumbo Jet” named A380.

Air France: More destinations in North America

The French airline will fly from Paris to Montreal starting May 9th 2011, soon to be followed by a service from Paris to Washington starting June 6th 2011. For the time being New York is Air France’s sole A380 destination in North America.

Lufthansa goes New York

New York © New York City & Company, www.nycgo.comStarting February 18th 2011 Lufthansa will fly to New York with an A380. The connection towards the metropolis at the Hudson River will initially be served with an A380 on Mondays and Fridays. From mid-April on it’s planned to make it a daily A380 destination. After Emirates and Air France Lufthansa is the third airline to fly to New York with an A380.
